Worldwide Brands: Drop Ship Directory or Disaster?

A visitor of mine poses the question: “Why should I spend money on a product like Worldwide Brands Onesource or Worldwide Brands Dropship Focus when I can go and find the suppliers myself?” The simple answer, is yes: You can source your own products, but as I show in this video, you may be wasting a lot of time and money (especially if your dropship supplier is not legitimate!).

Going Wholesale!

Getting into business is a nice way to earn extra income. For those who just want to do it part time, they go for buy and selling stuff while there are some who want to go big time. They prefer to make business wholesale style.

Wholesaling is a type of business wherein an organization or a business unit buys supplies in bulk from manufacturers and sells or distributes these products to other smaller business organizations who still sells these stuffs to a much smaller market.

Wholesaling does a lot for people. They provide access to people for products and services which the buyers can not normally purchase from direct manufacturers because of such companies require a minimum order which the buyers can not normally meet.

These wholesalers, like worldwide brands, also allow smaller entrepreneurs to start their businesses because they allow minimum orders compared to them purchasing directly from these manufacturers. With these the wholesalers can still pass lower prices to these smaller business units for them to be able still to gain from re selling the items again.

Some manufacturers are exclusive meaning they do not communicate with small business units which makes it impossible for starters in the selling business to purchase their products. With the existence of these wholesalers, the little ones can now go to them and purchase products at a much lower rate compared to those already sold in commercial outlets.

Wholesalers provide a lot of benefits not only to end retailers but also to manufacturers as well. Such as in having a new product in the market, the manufacturer can ask the wholesaler to stock a few items so that his several smaller retailers can see the new stock and start also buying the item.

However with the development we are having today, traditional wholesaling is still facing some problems mainly disintermediation, facility location, transportation costs, adapting to new technology and offering non product assistance.

First, disintermediation is a concern mainly for those wholesalers who are not yet established. The fear of new technology coming up and resulting to an open communication between the manufacturers and the final buyers are already active which post as a threat to traditional wholesalers.

Wholesalers also have issues on finding the right location to establish their facilities and the transportation cost that goes along with product distribution. With the growing of technology also comes the progress in other products, some also are already asking for non product assistance such as training of technical and selling skills or management of business.

These are just a few issues which a wholesaler are currently facing but definitely going wholesaling is a lot better than retailing since income here is higher and there are a lot more chances of getting bigger.

Dropship business sounds great!

Dropship business may sound foreign to most of us but it can well spell same as m-o-n-e-y, yes you got it, it spells money and lots of it. Others may not appreciate the wonders this business may bring but here are some basic information to introduce you to this new endeavor.

Dropship businesses are great for e-commerce!

Online transactions are the best way to earn money fast. Why? Because it extends to a number of people who surf online! So technically the market would just make their way to you, the tricky part now would fall on the creativity of your website. You have to ensure that your website will have everything the client would need to make it more convenient to them. Besides most people engage to online transaction for the reason that they offer hassle-free deals:

  1. You can close the deal within the comforts of your home

  2. Transactions are automated

  3. Delivery are always be updated

  4. Everything is done in just one click

In simple words, this is the business for those who have limited time to scout through different establishments to find the products that their business needs! With this kind of business your market is readily established by them in itself. So no worries for you!

Dropship is great for single operations!

Dropship business can also give you a sustainable business for yourself simply because you can work everything out for yourself. This means that you’ll incur less cost on overhead: no employees, no wages, and no inventory needed. It is a business that can operate singly. Dropship works by placing the order online then the wholesaler will handle the gritty part of transmitting to the end-user the products needed and ensuring the availability of products.

So what’s left for you to do? You have to make sure that you have the good network: quality products, credible suppliers and a good relationship!

Dropship is great if you’ll ensure its greatness!

To make the business work you have to look for that niche that will capture the big portion of the market. So how can you do it? It is basically combined by luck, prayers and focus on things to which you yourself is interested in. Then, you can work around that and test the products yourself to ensure their quality and durability. Also, make relationships to your suppliers and test them as well if they are credible enough and use them as product testimonies.

Remember your business is dependent on your suppliers: if they can deliver the goods and if they can meet the deadlines! Then, lastly is to make an established relationship with your customers as nothing beats a great relationship and a loyal customer because when all else fails (which they usually does) all you’ll end up with is your relationship and on how your clients could be forgiving to you.

However In dropshipping you are not in control, basically you’ll act as the middle person. You receive the order that were placed online, and then you place the order to your dependable suppliers. That is why it is vital to create a great relationship!

eBay: Your Online Auction and Shipping Website

Do you know anyone who hasn’t heard of eBay, yet?  It is actually, an online auction and shipping website, in which people and businesses buy and sell different products and goods to different people.  The good thing about this store is that, it can reach a lot of people worldwide in a short span of time.  The sales take place through a set-time auction format, but other methods include substantial segments of listing in the “Buy it Now” or “Best Offer” option.  Aside from the original website in the US, eBay also created localized websites in thirty other countries.  eBay also owns skype and Paypal.

eBay sells almost all kinds of goods imaginable to the bidders.  In fact, there are a lot of eccentric products that were sold online from a prehistoric fossil to a sea-worthy ship.  However, there are always limits on the kinds of products that are allowed to be sold at eBay.  These include:  drugs, alcohol, live animals, human parts, knives, ammunition, pornographic or adult-related materials or fake and pirated goods to name a few.  This means that, only clean and wholesome products should be sold online.

As mentioned earlier, eBay is an online auction website.  Thus, it employs several types of auctions:  An auction-style listing that allows the sellers to offer one or more items for sale for a specified number of days, wherein the seller can create a reserved price which will be the basis for a bidder to win.   There is tough competition between bidders here.

On the other hand, a fixed price format allows the seller to offer one or more items for sale at a Buy It Now price.  This means that buyers who agree to pay the price outright, will automatically win the item even without bidding on it in the first place.

Another strategy is the use of fixed price format with best offer.  This allows the seller to accept the best offer from a buyer.  The seller has the prerogative to accept or reject the offer of the buyer or make a counteroffer to the buyer.

In addition, another type of auction that eBay uses is the Dutch auction.  This allows the seller to offer two or more identical items up for auction.  This means that bidders can bid to as many items as possible or depending on the total number of items included in a certain auction.  This is also coined as bulk auction.
